T25 modem wants the password of the day for the advanced tab on the web management site. Even after doing a factory reset I can’t get a logon page for admin to change the default password. I also can’t get phone line 2 working for my second phone number. All calls go to my 1st phone number even with 2 separate phone lines plugged in. Why are two ethernet ports offered if only one is functional? I use two different routers and right now only one can be used.

The "password of the day' in the Advanced Login is restricted only for MSO (Multiple System Operator) technicians.
When it comes to firmware updated DOCSIS standards dictate that the service provider must distribute firmware updates to cable modem devices. The end-user cannot simply install an update like most other network-enabled devices.
ARRIS develops the software update and makes it available to service providers. The service providers qualify, test, and distribute the software update to devices on their network. ARRIS has limited control or visibility on distribution by the service providers.

In the T25 you cannot use both the ethernet port at the same time, it is because the second Ethernet port can be used to add an additional IP address for internet service. However, this second IP address must be subscribed through your cable provider, and please note that not all providers offer additional IP addresses for residential services.
To access the modem’s interface, please connect a computer directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable.

I understand about the 2nd ethernet port not being useful now. Both of my phone lines now work after finding my ISP did not have the correct Mac addresses. What I can’t do is get a logon page for the modem interface. I have connected a laptop directly to the modem and all I get is the management menu with tabs for Status; HW/FW Versions; Event Log; CM State and Advanced. If I try advanced, it wants the password of the day. I cannot get a log on for admin and the default password in order to change it. I have tried factory reset and it doesn’t help.

If the web interface is accessible without prompting for login credentials, it may be related to the modem's firmware version. Some cable modems allow access to their interface without a password by default. However, once a firmware update is applied, the interface may begin requiring login credentials.
