I am looking to purchase the G54. The location will be on the main floor of my house, but my office is on the 2nd floor. Is there an extender I can connect to the G54, so I can access an ethernet connection in my office?

I’m not a fan of extenders unless they’re the triband with the dedicated backhaul. The standard single/dual band extender, by how they function, drop throughput 50% of what they receive.

If you’re only a floor away, your speed drop from the extender can be more than just the signal loss will be.

Have you checked what speeds you get in the office right now with your current device?

If its enough, it might be worth skipping getting a single router solution and just starting with a mesh network.

G54 is compatible with all brand routers and extenders so you can connect any brand extenders to improve the WIFI signals. Arris no longer support or manufacturing extenders
