Refurbished or New?

Do your refurbished modems work as well as your new modems?  If so, why pay more for new modem, what’s the difference?

Best answer by Alwin Rufus

The warranty period for the Refurbished product is 1 Year & it is 2 years for the New Unit. The only difference is the Warranty period.

Hi,

That’s a good question. Usually most of the new modems will come with 2 years warranty period , so the only difference buying a Refurbished modems is lesser warranty period.

Besides a warranty difference, it can sometimes be a bit more of a hassle. I’ve had refurbished modems that were still registered with ISP’s and needed to be removed from accounts. It hasn’t happened much lately as the ISP’s are getting better at not keeping them attached to accounts when a new modem is activated. But something to keep in mind.
