I unplugged the modem & router & internet cable and moved it all to a different location in the house.

But the internet plug in the wall must not be hooked up, so I moved it all back to where it all was

before.

Does the modem need to be reset ?

As you had disconnected the modem/router/ethernet cable and fixed it back to the same place.

Check the LED Lights of the cable modem : Power/Receive/Send and Online: Solid ,

Ensure that the co-axial cable(from the wall) which is been provided by Internet Service Provider(ISP) is been fixed to the co-axial knob at the back of the modem .

Kindly do a Reset on the modem and later, connect modem though ethernet cable to the “WAN PORT” of the router and check if you are able to connect on the internet through Wi-Fi .

If you are not able to connect to internet please contact Internet Service Provider (ISP) for further assistance.

It should connect back up fine if you moved it back.

Just make sure you’re connections are solid
