Replaced problem Motorola cable modem/router with G34 and was able to set it up ok. But when accessing the internet or even connecting to the router through the computer all connections or changing pages seem to hang for several seconds before connecting. Speeds seem ok then until changing websites or selecting an item in the router settings. I never had this issue before. Even connecting to my media server through the network seems to hang for several seconds.

In this case you can try placing the router in a central location, away from large metal objects and electronic devices that might cause interference. Try connecting to the network with different devices to see if the issue is specific to one device or affects all devices. Make sure all network cables are securely connected and not damaged. If possible, try using different cables to rule out any cable issues.
