I have purchased a arris surfboard S33.  When I set it up the green light keeps flashing and my computer won’t work?

    The modem is trying to lock downstream or upstream channel.  Check the coaxial cable connections and the splitter.

    A couple things. 

    1. Netopia is correct in that if the upstreaming/downstream lights are flashing its trying to lock them in. 
    2. did you get it provisioned by your ISP?
    3. The S33 is a modem only device. Do you have a router connected to it? 
    4. Because its a modem only device and most ISP’s only support 1 devices connected, make sure you don’t have a 2nd device connected to the other port on it. Its got 2 but most ISP’s only provide 1 public ip address (so only 1 device)
    Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
