Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Just tried to set up our new G34 and cannot figure out how to reset the network name change the password or set up parental controls with the app. What am I missing?

Looks like the SB6190 was registered instead of the G36.  We can fix this with the following steps.

  1. Remove the SB6190 from the app by tapping the Menu link on the top-left of the screen.
  2. Then tap the Remove Device option.  Complete the removal process.
  3. On the SELECT YOUR DEVICE, select SURFboard Gateway ISP cable connected with integrated Wi-Fi.
  4. Select G36 model.
  5. If you previously accessed the G36 Web Manager, click on “Click here if you have previously installed with Web based UI portal” link.  Otherwise, click the START INSTALL.
  6. Complete onboarding process.

Could you uninstall the SBC app and reinstall it again with different device and let us know whether you can locate my network option to configure the Wi-Fi credentials.

What type of device do you recommend? I only have the one new modem/router and my cell phone to download the app to.

You can try with different mobile phone (either android or IOS) and also try with different Email address.

This did not work and is not a fix. The app is incomplete and does not have the functions you have provided as solutions.

Have you tried to de-registered the account and re-registered the same on SBC app.

Hello @hummingbird0,

In reviewing your screenshot of the Devices(2) screen, it appears a modem is registered with the SBC app.  Please provide the screenshot of the Home screen so that I can provide additional steps to register the G36 with the SBC app.
