I currently have an older Arris model (SGB6580). I recently bought an Arris G34 modem/router. Unfortunately, I did not check with my internet provider to see if the G34 was compatible. I use CableAmerica. They informed me that it is currently in the works for the G34 to be compatible with them, but they were not able to give me a timeline. My question is if there is a known timeline for when the G34 model will be compatible with my provider? I am wanting to know if it is worth holding onto it or just getting a different one.

Arris modem are compatible only with coax cable connections only not with ADSL or fiber cable connection so regarding compatibility you need to confirm with your service provider only.
