Trying to add an extended wifi to Arris G34.  In this case the extender is a netgear AC1200.  Am totally lost with this venture.

Are you trying to connect the Netgear EX6150v2 wired or wireless ?

Please check if the extender as got physically an  “WPS” button on it . If so, then follow the below link to connect it through “WPS”

http://arris.force.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/G34-G36-WPS-Push-Button-Connection

In case if there is no WPS button then try changing the security mode

Login to GUI page  192.168.0.1 go to connection/Wi-Fi and change the security mode from WPA2/WPA3Mixed Personal(AES) Recommended to WPA2-PSK(AES)

AC1200 is a speed, not a model.

what actual netgear is it?

are you using the installation assistant?

Make sure to use either wpa2 or wpa2/wpa3 mixed mode on the G34 as the netgear isn’t wpa3 compatible.

Could you power cycle the Wi-Fi modem and extender once and start over the process again.

I suggest you to  connect the extender to Wi-Fi modem through ethernet cable.
