going to Frontier FIOS - will my ARRIS G36 work with it?

Forum|alt.badge.img

my building is looking into an arrangement with Frontier to install FIOS in my building. We currently have xfinity and I have an ARRIS G36 modem. Its is working rather well now so I wondered if I could keep it if and when this building goes over to  FIOS. I can’t get much of an answer from ARRIS and after a long hold, I was able to speak to a tech service person at Frontier, who told me that the only modem compatible with their FIOS is the ARRIS NVG443B. But that one isn’t even listed on ARRIS’s website. Anyone know anything?

The Arris modem is not compatible with FIOS. Therefore, I suggest having the option to configure a G36 as a Wi-Fi router, utilizing a 2.5 Gig Ethernet port for internet connectivity instead of the coaxial port.

As your building is moving forward with FIOS support, we recommend installing a modem that supports FIOS and then connecting it to the G36 Wi-Fi Router.

Fios runs on fiber optic and xfinity runs on coaxial so that's a no go.
