Trying to activate g36 on Xfinity. Asking for cm mac #. Instructions say to enter hfc mac number which is not recognized by Xfinity.

CM and HFC MAC are the same so you should provide the HFC MAC address for activation and please do check if you see the same MAC address on the modem label and on the BOX. You can also try self activation using the Xfinity app.
