I bought G36 modem in May 2024 and have been having no problem till about a month ago. Now I have to disconnect and connect the power several times daily. The streaming on my TV’s last only about 15-20 minutes after which there is no streaming and the screen states there a Network problem and to disconnect and reconnect the power source to the Modem. My internet provider is Xfinity. Some of the letters in the Surfboard community from 1 year ago, state that Arris is working on an update. Do they have an update? If so how can I get it. Is this a problem with Arris or Xfinity?

What firmware version are you using?

According to Xfinity there is a bug in version AR01.04.028.01.01_040121_724.NCS.20.X2

They pushed an update late last year sometime that fixes the intermittent connection losses.

its this one

AR01.05.020.04.01_083123_735.NCS.20

I think the gateway address is 192.168.0.1 for the G36

do you have a copy of the cable connections page (shows upstream/downstream) info? Take a screensnip of that. Usually its a ISP connection issue but not always

I called Arris Tech support and the person walked me through the problem. I had to reset the modem and he also changed the frequency. It took about an hour. This happened a week ago and after about 4 days,  I had to reset the Modem on my own after which so far I have had no problem. Having my fingers crossed.
