I bought this new Modem Wi Fi last Saturday. I have gotten all my devices up and running except my HP5530 Printer. HP tells me I need to change the MAC address on the Modem Wi Fi because the printer cannot log onto the new Wi Fi network.

The Geek Squad spent hours and couldn’t get the printer connected.

Can someone tell me how to change the MAC address?

If you're trying to connect the printer to Wi-Fi, ensure it connects to the 2.4GHz network. Typically, the Wi-Fi security mode is set to WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Personal (AES) (Recommended). Some devices may struggle to connect to the 2.4GHz network with this security mode, so changing the security mode can make the Wi-Fi more compatible.

You can change the security mode in two ways: either through the Surfboard Central app, if it is set up, or through the web-based interface (GUI).

For your reference please refer to the below link to change the security mode using the surfboard central app and also through the web based interface (GUI).
