Arris SBG7400AC2 5G connections listed in 2.4 client list

All wireless clients show up in the 2.4 client list.  I am pretty sure that the 5Gs are connecting at 5g because I am getting the throughput and performance I expect.  The devices themselves indicate that they are connected to the 5g network.

This has been the case since I installed the modem several years ago.

Is there a way to change settings or a workaround so the clients show up in the correct wireless network?

The devices circled in red are logged into the 5g network.  This is what I see:

Could you please confirm the exact LED status on your gateway? It's highly unlikely for devices connected to the 5GHz network to appear under the 2.4GHz device list.

We recommend updating the credentials for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Please refer to the article linked below for step-by-step instructions on how to change your network credentials.

https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/articles/knowledge/SBG7400AC2-Changing-the-Default-Wi-Fi-Name-Password

Note: It's recommended to use a computer connected to the gateway via Ethernet while making these changes. If done over Wi-Fi, the connection may be interrupted, causing the interface to log you out and requiring you to log in again.

Once you've updated the network credentials, navigate to the 'Utilities' section in the top menu and click on 'Restart Router' to apply the changes.

After the restart, connect a device to the 5GHz network and wait a few moments for it to sync with the interface. You can then check the client list to confirm the connection.

Both the 5g and 2.4g lights are illuminated and blink.  I had left the SSIDs and passwords at default but have changed them as suggested.  The new passwords are the same for both wireless networks as they had been that way in the default setup.

This has not resulted in any change.

I have tried disabling the 2.4.  The LED status is off.  I have connected to the 5G  network.  My iPad indicates I am on 5G however when I look at the client list for 5G on the arris, there is no listing for it.  It is however listed in the 2.4 list even though it is disabled.  This is true of other devices that are capable of a 5g connection as well.

Thoughts and ideas would be welcome.

thank you.
