I just got off cable and have internet thru Xfinity. My printer connected fine to Wi-Fi before. Now I have this new combination modem and router and it won’t connect.   I have another printer in another room that connected fine. That was an HP printer.

Could you let me know which wifi network you are trying to connect with the printer?

I would suggest connecting to a 2.4G network. If the same problem persists, change the security mode and try again to connect the printer.

Launch a web browser and enter in the address box as 192.168.0.1. Login with your credentials

Gateway>Summary>Connection>Wifi>Networks> Edit 2.4G network as WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES)

What error does it give you?

Make sure to use wpa2/wpa3 mixed mode on the g36. Non wpa3 devices need the wpa2 connection

Thanks for responding.  The modem is showing up in my printer but it just keeps saying it failed to connect to the wireless router.

thanks again
