Unable to add satelite device on w130

I am able to set up the main router and when i go to try to set up the satellite device in the Surfboard Central app.  When I click on the “Next” button, nothing happens.  I tried for over 30 minutes trying to click the Next button and nothing happens.  If I close out the app and try to log in again, I get prompted to set up everything all over from scratch.  It also takes about 20 tries each time to get the app connected to the device.  Each try takes me over an hour.

 

Things I’ve tried:

  • Restarting the phone
  • Reinstalling the app
  • Tried installing the app on other phone and tablets
  • Tried switching the Mesh units (swap router and satellite)
  • Factory reset the routers
  • Have the satellite sitting right next to the router

Could you please provide the LED light status on your main router? Also, let us know the model of the phone where the Surfboard Central app is installed. If you're using an iPhone, please include the iOS version. If you're using an Android device, specify the Android version. Lastly, share the version of the Surfboard Central app you have installed.

I returned it.  For others in the same situation I would suggest doing the same.  After searching everywhere on the Internet, it seems like Arris abandoned support for this product.  The mobile app, which is the only way to control it, is not compatible with the w130 mesh system.  There is no way to fix it.  It makes sense now why it was priced so cheap.  Save yourself the time and headache.
