today ive noticed all my light on the modem were green. took me asking on facebook to find out that mean i am using docsis3.0 not 3.1. ive tried everything i could think of as a troubleshoot. finally i logged in to the interface and saw that there was a failed update in the logs. I think that might be causing the issue. i get it as a modem you cant manually update it as you could a router. is there anyway to fix it or do i really have to buy a new one?

its 3.1 they even told me when i switched my plan to a 1Gbps plan that their modem they gave me when i signed up didnt support those speeds. The end result was an outage on their end nothing to do with something on my end. they didn’t know about it yesterday, so they fixed it earlier today and the downstream light is back to being blue and my speeds are a little over 900Mbps.

Who’s your ISP?

Got a screensnip of the cable connections page and event logs?

what speeds do you pay for? Docsis 3.0 is good to almost gigabit speed so the isp might not have it configured for 3.1 speeds
