Admin login help!!

I bought a used 2470 gateway. I can connect wirelessly to the gateway using the default Network name and WiFi password on the label. I can bring up the admin login page using the default ISP. However, the default user name of “admin” and the default password of “password” or variations there of, are not working. I keep getting told, “ User name and/ or password are not correct”. I have reset the router (yes, using the little reset button) multiple times for 10 seconds,  30 seconds and multiple time in a row!! Nothing works!! Does anyone have any suggestions??
