We have Frontier FiOS with an Arris NVG468MQ router.  We recently dropped FiOS TV (and Frontier is dropping it everywhere), kept Frontier FiOS internet but added basic Spectrum (copper).  We have an Arris AM525 to extend Wifi to the opposite end of the house but when the Spectrum folks hooked up the TV they just disconnected it.  We have crappy Wifi at that end of the house again so I plugged the co-ax back in and it seemed to fire up good.  When I did a Wifi analyzer the signal strength was off the charts.  But now we cannot log into the Wifi from there.  We can see the Wifi network, the signal strength is super strong, but it absolutely will not accept the WAP key.  WAP key works with other extenders but absolutely not with that.  Tried with several devices and with my cell phone, will not connect.  Not sure why we can see the Wifi network but cannot log into it now.  There is a WAP key on the AM525 but it will not accept that either.

Not a networking expert but not sure if there is some setting I need to do in the router or something I need to do on the Am525.  Any and all help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Hello phlyx,

That device is meant to be distributed by service providers, meaning that they will have the support for that device.
Now, depending on what you want to do, you may find some information online.

We have not changed our FiOS internet.  The AM525 was plugged into a co-ax plug in our master bedroom and was just an extender for our Wifi.  When the put in our Spectrum TV service they unplugged the co-ax.  We plugged it back in and when I use a Wifi analyzer our home Wifi signal jumps off the charts.  But when we try to log into it we enter our Wifi WAP key, it just sits there and after 30 seconds or so it just askes for it again.  Over and over.  It’s extending our Wifi but not letting us log into it.  That’s what we need help with.

Seems most Arris products are used via a service provider, last post I put for something else I got the reply “Even though, ARRIS manufactured this device, this was for Service Provider usage, meaning that your Service Provider will give the support.”.  If Arris doesn’t support their devices and just directs us to the service provider then this isn’t going to be a whole lot of help.
