I have an  Arris Surfboard SBG6700-AC  cable modem router.   I like to listen to AM talk shows when I am working  at my computer.  When I have my Arris turned on it creates heavy static noise on any AM radio playing in the house. On the other hand,  when I  try FM it plays without static.  I really need static free AM radio. Is there some type of adjustment I can do to my Arris?  Thank you.

many devices can cause electrical interference. it probably is the modem/router device.

You could always try a frequency filter for the radio’s power cable.
