I changed the username and password on the arris login page for my DG3450 Router and now it says invalid cred. when i put in my new info

If the customize login credentials not allowing to access modem interface or if you are getting invalid login credentials error only option is to fix is to perform hard reset on the modem for 30secs without coax cable then you need to login to the interface using default login credentials and then you can customize again.
