I bought a mesh router/ satalite to extend the connection in our home, however because I have a dual Modem/router, I want to know how to turn off the router component side of the modem?

Tough to know without models. What actual modem/router do you have?

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
