Question

Modem and Router recommendation

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi Folks,

Our current ISP provider is Xfinity (2000Mbps service) and we are presently using their Modem/Router. We are considering replacing their unit by procuring one of our own modem and router in order to reduce our monthly bills. Consequently, we are using this medium to ascertain your assistance on what modem you would recommend as suitable for our application. Kindly note that we are interested in separate units i.e modem/router and which are wifi7 compatible.

Since you are preferring the wifi cable modem which is compatible with WIFI 7, I would suggest the model G54.

the G36 also meets your needs. Here’s the full list from all the manufacturers. If you’ve got the 2 gig service, make sure to get a multigig device.

good luck! black friday is a great time to get a new modem/router. I prefer the modem separate from the router so your firmware isn’t locked and if one device goes bad, you’re not out both of them.
