I ordered a surfboard modem with max mbps of 800. Xfinity upgraded me to 1000mbps how can I return current modem and get a faster one?

I purchased the modem from the Arris website on June 7, 2024 model SURFboard SVG2482AC DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem & AC2350 Wi-Fi Router

Since you upgraded the speed plan to 1GBPS, you can return the device to the retailer and get a replacement with models such as the SBG8300, G34, G36, and G54, which are compatible up to 1GBPS.
