My SBG6580 modem starts fine, establishes a connection, and appears to work normally. But will drop after a while and, and attempt reconnect. This happens between several times an hour, and a day+

Hello Ranolden,

It looks like an intermittent connection, looking at the cable signal levels the downstream Power levels lowest  6.4 and highest 6.9 dbmv which is on acceptable range (+15/-15 dbmv ) and SNR lowest 38.2 and highest 38.6 db which is in acceptable range (+33 db) , but looking at upstream channels  the power levels should be 45+ to 52+ dbmv but it is only lowest 33.3 and highest 35.5 dbmv which is very low and not in acceptable range .

Do contact your ISP and try increasing the values to 45+ to 52+ dbmv.

After increasing the Upstream values , lets change the WiFi channels : follow the link below:

Do let us know if this helps.

Is this something they can change remotely? They are saying I need to schedule a technician to come out here
