How do I use my SBG7580 as an access point

You don’t. Its a modem/router combo device and it has a modem only (bridge) mode or modem/router mode. There isn’t a router only or access point mode.

    Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
