I dropped my Arris sbg7580 cable modem router. I’m trying to open it up because there are pieces rattling around inside. I don’t want to power it up in case it’s a fire hazard. Any idea how to open the case?

here’s the fcc internal photos. Looks like there’s a few screws to remove and then it might (?) pop apart.

I don’t have one so can’t test/play with it. 

doesn’t look like there’s a lot that can come off it so you  might have to practice up on your soldering if you want to fix it

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps

Thanks for that. I appreciate it. I’ve removed all the visible screws, but I can’t figure out how to pop it open. I know there must be some hidden tabs, but I can’t find them.
