I wish to not use an app I would like to have it automatically turn on and off my box is a nvg578lx I have scheduleing and Mac filtering but does not work need help

Nvg578lx is not supported by Arris. Arris supports only the retail products that are available on surfboard.com but not the ISP lease products.
