one thing to keep in mind. the CM8200a has 2x ethernet ports. But the vast majority of ISP’s only support a single public IP address. Meaning only a single device can be connected to it. If you had anything else connected, shut off the modem and router, then only have the router pluggeg into it, boot up the modem, give it 5 minute to boot, then boot up the router. then run the internet setup on the router.
