when i logged in before, it wanted the default “admin/password” combo. but now:

1: it redirects to a screen saying “please log in first”

2: it now wants an email that i used to set up the device. i was never prompted to make an email, so i have no email to use, save for the one i just made for this community post. (tried it any way, obviously didnt work)

)

i would reset it, but simple resets tend to break things with me (i.e. im on my 6th re-install of windows) and would rather have that be a last resort.

the android app does not connect either, whether by scanning the QR code, or wifi info, etc. i even turned off my VPN to be sure, and my desktop has an ethernet connection where i also turned off my VPN

side question: is there a desktop app for the G34? i had a similar problem with an old netgear 2-in-1 i used to use and their Genie app just simplified everything

The login pass is in the SBC app.  Here’s how to get to it.  https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/SURFboard-Central-Web-Manager-Access

i cannot log in to the SBC app because i do not have the password*. all it gives me is the set up process. when i select “already set up through web UI” and it wants my email and password i cant continue. when i select “set up manually” to put in my wifi information, it connects to the ssid, but does not communicate.

im going to be resetting it now anyway when i find a good time that nobody’s using the internet so it’s “whatever” at this point

*to reiterate, the menu you say to use is only available when logged in

Since you are experiencing an error code, I would suggest uninstalling the application on your mobile and factory-resetting the modem.

After, reset try to setup the SBC app again by reinstalling it.
