Woke up and had no wifi. Checked with ISP and there are no outages. Reset my router and now it only shows up under G34 and a string of numbers but still has our same password. When I pull it up in the surfboard app it still has the original name. I can log intoo our wifi under the g34 name on my phone but no network show up under the original name. I really don’t want to reprogram every device in my house to connect to this new random name. What’s going on and how do I fix it?

In this case to isolate the issue could you please check the LED lights status on the modem?

Do you have surfboard central app? Are you able to login?

otherwise can you try accessing modem GUI on direct connection.

Thank you,

LED lights show I am online. The modem is online and connected to the internet but it is back to its factory name as the network and factory default password. I do have the app and it shows everything still under the name I gave the network and the password I changed it to when I set it up. The app says cannot connect to modem when I try to make changes. I really don’t want to reprogram all the devices in my house and am not sure how to reset the modem as the app cannot connect to it when I try. But it’s odd I can connect to the factory name and get online via my phone but the app cannot connect to the modem. I apologize for my lack of knowledge but I have no idea what “accessing modem GUI on direct connection.” means or how to go about doing it! Thanks again!

To change the Wi-Fi credentials from default settings, I would suggest following the instructions on the below given link.

If the SBC app is still showing the old Wi-Fi credentials, I request you to uninstall the app and reinstall it again.
