zoom and FaceTime freeze on G36

just set up my G36 surfboard and started having problems with my screen freezing on Zoom and FaceTime calls.   I never had this problem before with my 10 yr old modem/router.   Is this happening because I set up something wrong?  did I miss something in the setup?

  1. what device is having issue? 
  2. is it connected to the 2.4ghz band or the 5ghz? Or wired?
  3. what speeds do you pay for? 
  4. are you getting those speeds (test a wired device)?
Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
