Hi Frederickjp,
Although it seems like the modem can connect to Wi-Fi, the following things should be checked:
- If you recently bought the modem, have you activated it by giving your ISP (Internet Service Provider) the HFC MAC ID?
- Please let us know if the modem's LED lights are on. Power/Send/Receive/Online/Wireless 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands steady or flashing?
- Reset the modem, then confirm that you can connect to the internet.
- If you are still unable to access the internet
- Contact your ISP to perform a Re-Provision (delete HFC MAC ID and add it back) on the modem
- Also, be sure to:
- Placing your gateway in the center of your home
- Do not place it behind any appliances or electronics.
- Don’t put it too close to cordless phones (landline not cell), baby monitors, or your microwave
- Make sure it’s not behind a metal or concrete wall as the signal has a hard time going through them, If any of this was helpful or if you have any questions, please let me know.
