Surfboard 8200 & TP-Link Archer AXE75

Forum|alt.badge.img

Internet has been spotty for last 2 weeks. Replaced old Netgear router w new Archer AXE75. Connected it to Surfboard 8200 v3 that was bought 3 months ago. Now there is no Internet at all. Do these 2 work w each other? Or do I need something different. Cox Communications is my service provider.

Could you please let us know your subscribed internet speed plan?

Are you experiencing intermittent connection?

Third-party routers are compatible with Surfboard cable modems. Make sure that only one Ethernet port is connected to the SB8200, which should be the router. If the router is new, you might need to set it up, especially if it requires configuration.

So sorry for the delay in responding. Life took over, etc!  Anyway, I tried several times to set up the connection between the cable modem & the new router but was not successful. I finally called my ISP to send a tech to help. He discovered the new router was defective!! I returned it & got a Netgear Nighthawk router. I was able to connect it to the Surfboard cable modem successfully!! Have never had the experience of a product being defective out of the box, so it was a big surprise. But, at least I know it wasn’t me! Thanks again for reading & trying to help. I really appreciate this community.
