Trying to keep a Gateway/router out of landfill

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi, I have a NVG578LX/NVG578HLX that my internet provider told me I can just throw away. As I hate how much e-waste we recently generate I have a question.

Is there a way to flash the software to something generic/open source to keep it working at least as an access point/router or anything useful :D?

Hello @alantest

SourceForge.net is not affiliated with us.  The NVG578LX/NVG578HLX is leased to subscribers by their Internet Service Provider and the provider flashes the firmware.
