Hello, I purchased my Arris Surboard S33v2 from the ARRIS Amazon store on Jun 20, 2023, and I noticed it has been making a constant sounds lately when it was silent a month ago. I think I am also noticing buffering in videos when I was not before.

What can I do while I’m still within the 2 year warranty?

listen closely. Is it the modem or the power supply making the noise?
Any returns must go through support

It is the modem itself. The power supply is several feet away in a cabinet.

As for the support site, I can’t file a ticket. It asks for the model, and won’t accept “S33v2” as an entry. I tried a few other variants, too.

This was solved for me - I called the number and a new power supply was sent out. Although it was the modem making the noise for sure, the new power supply remedied the issue.

strange that the device was making the noise but the power supply was bad. It frequently comes from the power supply because of capacitors in them going bad.
