Having issue where all modems drop off the CMTS and the logs of the CMTS indicate the Cable modems departed. Few questions:

What are the common reasons modems will go offline and require a hard reboot to bring back online?

Can you download the logs off the Arris Modems via remotely?

if yes how can this be done typically?

if no what is the console setting for these and the cable connection requirements?

Hello hhubert

What are the common reasons modems will go offline and require a hard reboot to bring back online?

If there is any issue with the Service provider end or network outage modem will go offline

If the modem signal level is not in accepted range modem will go offline intermittently

If the speed is not compatible with the modem and Internet service provider so it will also cause the modem to go offline

Can you download the logs off the Arris Modems via remotely?

You can get the Log details by logging into the modem interface but not remotely, that is not possible.

if no what is the console setting for these and the cable connection requirements?

You can check on the modem interface 192.168.100.1 for console settings.

Let us know if this helps

Arris,

We were able to pull this information from the modems. based on this information below. is there anything based on what the logs are stating below that indicates a problem why these go offline?

Hello hhubert

If you are facing intermittent connection , checking cable signal levels is the best option to understand if the modem is working fine but in regard to the event log details do contact ISP (Internet Service Provider ) for the same .
