In the app I get the modem to connect to my internet and then when I try to sign into the app to use it it tells me it lost the connection try again. Many try’s help!

The SB8200 is a modem only device. there isn’t anything to log in and use with it for the app. there isn’t wifi or any routing features. That’d come from the router.
What router do you have connected to it

So what actually gives you that error? A screensnip of it might help.
As well as a screensnip of the cable connections page. That checks the connection back to the ISP
