I have a new SB8200 on Optimum 300 Mb cable internet. The modem is connected directly to the Optimum-provided cable in house, about a 10ft run to outdoor cable connection. There are no other devices bridging the cable. Internet only.

In looking at the Downstream Bonded Channels page on the webmanager, I see many thousands of Corrected & Uncorrectable errors on every channel. Generally 4000- 5,500 on each. Ch 33 shows 9,130,017 Corrected!

All channels are locked and show power of between 8.9dBmV to 11.8.

I do not notice any dropouts in service (streaming audio and video services) and my service for web seems steady, although not blazing.

This is many more errors than I’ve seen when others post. Is there a service problem?

You have a bunch of errors in your line and your power levels are to high. It should be between -7.5 and 7.5dbmv. Plus you have errors in the logs showing its going further out of spec. If its directly connected, the ISP needs to check the line.

I am getting lots of corrected errors on channel
