I am a tad green with this topic.  What is the fix to the message on my MacBook Pro when I try to connect via an ethernet cable that says, “Display Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet.”  I am able to connect all my devices (2 computers, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, to the wifi Eero Pro which is connect to the Arris sb8200, yet I am not able to connect via ethernet cable. any help would be greatly appreciated. TY

Hi Rick Tamlyn,

Since you are able to connect to Wi-Fi with the help of “Modem sb8200 and Router Eero Pro”  but not wired.

Let's try doing a power cycle on the modem and try again.

To do a power cycle: Unplug all the cables from the modem wait for 30 seconds and plug in the co-axial and power cable back.

Try this step and let us know if you are able to connect the MacBook Pro through a wired connection.
