surfboard sb8200 will not go online. Check the cables, powered it off and on again, contacted ISP there's no outage in my area. It just suddenly decided not to go online. The online light is flashing. It is less than 2 years old I purchased it in November of 2021. It's still under warranty but how do I know if the modem is bad or if it's some other obscure thing? Thanks
Interesting enough I had the exact same thing happen yesterday around 6pm. After 2 hours of a painful experience with Breezeline customer support they are sending out a tech, and of course charging me for it as they are saying it is my modem. I will keep you posted what I find out.
If you check the status, what does it display. See example below. If it shows a ‘failed’ step, that helps get started.
Finally got online. I really don’t know what actually fixed it since I tried so many things. But, the last thing I did was disconnect my router (take it out of the equation), unplug the modem and plugged back in after several hours. I was able to get online. So, I then tried putting my router back into the mix and I couldn’t get online. I couldn’t even login to my router. I was eventually able to do a firmware update on my router, reset the modem, router and restarted computer. I now am online and my home network is accessible.
