Hello I gotten a ai mesh surfboard max pro got it set up but everything im connected I got a ip address of 192.168.7.x when I'm normally supposed to have an ip address of 192.168.1.x is there a way to change the ip address or is it the router?

I’ve had a x5042 Mesh Extender fitted in my house yesterday, but about an hour after it was fitted the green light goes out on the Extender, so I had another one fitted today, but the green light on this also goes out after about an hour My internet strangely seems to be working fine even after the green light goes out

Any news on upcoming MAX Wifi 7/BE systems? Most suppliers have been releasing them but its been quiet on the arris front since the vantiva acquisition

I am setting up a mesh network in my house to use primarily for music streaming and routine web processes and email. With respect to my audio system the best location for the modem and primary router would be in the basement just below my stereo gear. I realize that the standard guidance is not to place the modem router in the basement; but again that would be the best spot for my audio. I plan to have satellite routers on the first and second floors of the house. Has anyone set things up this way? Has it worked well?

I can no longer change the password on my Arris SBR1900AC. I can change the username, but not the password. See screenshot attached. In the “Change Password” Dialog, there is no field to “Enter New Password” I’m on a Mac Pro, Early 2009, running 10.15.17, and Safari 15.6.1. The Mac is connected to the router via ethernet. Haven’t had any issues until recently. Any help much appreciated

Hello ! I can't change my password on the router. I use the password that is written on the back of the router to get onto internet and log into the ARRIS, When i try to change the password it's telling me that the current password is wrong, even tho i use that password from the router The P/N is TG02DAE3452

I bought this Wi-Fi Router used for the exact same one that I had power died. This one seems to be brand new and working just fine, although it states that there is ‘No internet, secured’ With that being said, I cannot connect any devices to connect to the internet to work properly. Can someone help me?

Why are wired/ethernet devices not listed in the Network Device Priority list for QoS/Device Priority? Ideally, with the W6B connected to a W133 mesh system, there should be an option to prioritize that traffic.

Hey,I rent a Technicolor DGA2232 from my ISP. It’s supporting EasyMesh protocol.I’m trying to look for mesh solution. My obligatory requirement is that the 1st extender node would connect wirelessly (1st time wired setup is OK if needed). My first bet was Technicolor OWA0131 but unfortunately it isn’t available for shipment to my region. So I looked for another EasyMesh products and found Arris X5042. However, documentation states that wireless connection from 1st node is enabled only for routers which supports HomeAssure. Would it work for my rented Technicolor DGA2232 which does support EasyMesh? or an Arris router is the only supported router for 1st node wireless connection. Regards

How to log into router

Hi. I wasn’t sure which forum this post should go in since it concerns my wifi modem and mesh system. Previously, I used an Orbi CBR40 and two Orbi satellites for my mesh system. I’ve been having issued for the last several month with my wifi dropping despite no issues with my internet service. After going through troubleshooting and consulting Netgear forums, I decided to upgrade my system. I purchased a G36 and a W130 max mesh system. The setup of the G36 went off without a hitch, but I can’t seem to figure out the W130’s. Initially, I plugged a W30 module in to power and selected “add Device” using the surfboard central app. This didn’t work, so using the Ethernet cable I connected it to the G36 and selected “add device” once again. I got it to connect, but it was acting as it’s own router and not a satellite. After some research, it looks like I’m supposed to set it up as a “bridge” system, so I removed the W30 from the system/app and followed the bridge set up, but the app just tr

Anyone care to recommend appropriate Arris router to deliver high speed wifi in my house? I have Spectrum 500 mbps service and Spectrum-provided modem so looking for router only. Disappointed with another vendor’s router that when connected to the Spectrum modem delivered only 100 mbps wifi. Looking for Arris product that will deliver 300-500 mbps wifi with capacity to support faster speeds if I upgrade my Spectrum service in the future. Support for telephones not needed.

I have a Virgin V3 Fibre modem Router, my set up is in Modem Mode and therefore acts as a modem only, during my set up I connected Via WAN Arris to #1 Out Lan on the V3 as it is the only port that has output - everything else is disabled. My connection during setup I chose the Fibre option but looking back it has its own WiFi and I am having a few issues keep going offline (think I should have chose the top one Cable Modem Only) and unable to secure a good Mobile speed check or internet speed check and the Lan connected appliances have no speeds attached, is this normal ? I have a W121 Arris set up.

I would like to try ethernet wiring my AX600 satellite. What port do I use on the satellite device and do I need to set it up or will it realize that it is in ethernet? If I need to set it up, how? I tried plugging it in to an ethernet cable and it seems to stay on the wireless backhaul. How do I check the backhaul connection?

My Mac’s router won’t connect to my modem

I am trying to connect my Surfboard mAX units to Verizon FiOS but it doesn’t work. I am replacing their router aspect but it is an all-in-one unit. Is there some configuration changes that need to be made to allow the mAX to connect to the FiOS modem?

Hello all, I have some household devices which will only connect to 2.4GHz wifi. With most that is not an issue but a few require my phone to be on a 2.4GHz network in order to connect the device to my network. My phone connects to the 5GHz by default. Is there a workaround? I don't see a way to steer my phone to the 2.4GHz side. Thanks in advance..
