Facing Slow Speed after upgrading the speed plan

I recently upgraded my Xfinity internet speed but when I tested it, I was receiving low 30 MBPS numbers. I contacted them and advised it was not the tower signal or my modem but asked for me to call Arris and have them “configure” it.  When I asked what is it that they meant; provide a code, update the modem, they had no idea.  Any suggestions on what I can do?

Thank you!

Hello itisjojo

SBG7400AC2 is just a gateway with the compatible speed Up to 863 Mbps with Xfinity and

May i know where you face slow speed issue? On WIFI or with direct connection to the modem

About the configuration, if the issue is on WIFI you can try changing WIFI channel on the modem interface for respective WIFI network or if this happening on direct connection you need to check the cable signal level on the modem interface/ GUI

Please follow the steps mentioned on the link below
