I have the ability to connect to the wifi but there is no internet access, the apartment complex gave me this modem and said this was all i needed but idk what else to do to connect to it

SBG8300 is a gateway which is the combination of modem and router so to get the internet you need to connect modem to power and coax cable provided by your service provider and activate the modem by contacting your service provider and providing the modem HFC MAC address for activation. Once the modem is activated you can access internet by connecting devices to the modem Wi-Fi network.
