I can’t get my ring doorbell to work with my Arris SBG8300. It won’t connect at all to the network. I have tried to edit any of my router settings that seem like they might make a difference all to no avail.

If anyone has a clue on how to resolve, would be much appreciated.

To connect to “Ring Door Bell” make sure that you are able to see the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network names on the “Ring Door Bell App”.

Make sure it's connected well on the Wi-Fi 2.4GHz (check the password typed is correct). Also, let's change the security mode and Wi-Fi channels.

To reach the security mode, log in to 192.168.0.1 with username: admin and password: password (if not customized). After logging on the 192.168.0.1 on the gateway page select “Wi-Fi”

and change the security mode from “WPA2-PSK (AES)Recommended”  to WPAWPA2-PSK(TKIP/AES ).

To change  Wi-Fi channels follow the below link:

If still unable to connect to “Ring Door Bell”  please contact them for more information
