Installing G54 on Xfinity network issues

I have been trying to install my new G54 modem, and it will not activate. The light is red, then flashes green then goes solid blue. Then after couple minutes it starts all over again. I have rebooted the modem several times. I have activated it on Xfinity network I am assuming but will not go online. Is there a problem with the modem? The app says to call support, but without Internet, I have no phone service.

We recommend connecting the G54 to a different power outlet. If the issue persists, please verify the LED light sequence. If the LED starts with Solid Amber, then Blinking Green, followed by Solid Blue, and loops back to Solid Amber, Blinking Green, and Solid Blue repeatedly, it indicates that the G54 is rebooting on its own.

To isolate the rebooting status, turn off the G54 and remove the coaxial cable. Leave it disconnected and power on the gateway. The LED light should start with Solid Amber, then Blinking Green, and remain Blinking Green without reaching Solid Blue. If it loops back from Blinking Green to Solid Amber repeatedly without the coaxial cable connected, it may be a misconfiguration. In this case, perform a factory reset.

If the LED stays Blinking Green without the coaxial cable connected, there is no issue with the G54. After reconnecting the coaxial cable, if the LED loops back again, it could be a provisioning issue. We recommend checking with your internet service provider to re-provision the G54.
