S33 light is blue, but no internet connection. Xfinity

This has happened a few times now, but this time it has not come back on after 12 hours.  Router indicating no internet, and attempts at using wired ethernet connection have failed. Oddly enough the light remains blue even when I disconnect the coaxial cable.  The unit is only about a year old.  Any ideas?

Hi kcinpdx,

You can consider completing the factory reset in the following sequence:

Please disconnect the coaxial cable from the back of the device.

At the back of the modem, you will see a small hole; inside that hole there is a button, and that is the reset button. Insert a paper clip and hold it for 35 seconds until all the lights go out, then reconnect the coax cable and wait for your device to fully boot up.
