How to access MAC filter to allow device access to the internet SB8200 modem

Forum|alt.badge.img

I have a SB8200 modem that I’m trying to access the MAC filter to add a MAC ID to give my thermostat access to the internet to control the thermostat from my phone.  Honeywell and my internet provider claim they can’t help me.  How do I find access the MAC filtering in my modem?

there isn’t mac filtering on the modem.

Its a modem only device.

The only filtering done is on the router and the SB8200 has zero router capability.

What router is connected?

I have a Google Nest Mesh router attached to the modem.  I’ve already talked with Google and they don’t offer accessibility to a whitelist.  I’m completely stuck!  Thanks for your response!

I’d post on the google forums. The modem doesn’t do any filtering at all.

It’d be on the google nest thats blocking/causing issues.
