I just bought the arris surfboard g36 for my home, when I first hooked it up I was getting 164 plus upload speed and 164 plus download speed, now I'm down to 5 and under upload and under 3 download speed I contacted my wifi provider and they ran a bunch of test and it's nothing on the providers end I have no clue what to do.

Since you are experiencing slow Wi-Fi speed, could you let us know the speed plan opted with internet service provider.
I would suggest changing the Wi-Fi channels for the slow speed and monitoring it for the next 24 hours.
