Question

Putting G36 in bridge mode.

Forum|alt.badge.img

Tried to access Surfboard Central website to see if there was any info on putting my G36 modem/router in bridge mode to transition to wi fi mesh system. Website will not let me access saying “website insecure” “go back to safety”. and I can’t find any instructions to perform this task. Any idea’s?

To put the G36 into bridge mode, it’s best to connect the G36 directly to a computer using an Ethernet cable. You can enable bridge mode either through the Surfboard Central app or via the web-based interface (GUI).

Please follow the steps in the link below to enable bridge mode through the GUI:

For instructions on how to do this using the Surfboard Central app, please refer to the following link:

Thank you for your reply. I finally got into the GUI by having to “accept” that the site was not secure. Once I was in settings, I did see how to select bridged mode. Now it’s just finding the correct mesh system to help my wi fi.

Do you already have a mesh system set up, or are you currently looking for one? If you're looking for one, we recommend trying our Surfboard mesh system. For more information and a detailed description, please visit www.surfboard.com.
